  • National 35 and Over Clay Court Champion! Posted last week
    Director of Tennis Paul Goode Please join me in congratulating Paul for having won the USTA 35 and Over National Clay Court Championship. The tournament was held at the Midtown Athletic Club in Weston Florida over the weekend. Playing eight matches in four days, Paul lost only one set during the entire tournament while defeating several past champions. This is Paul’s third National Championship, and all of us at RRC are proud of his remarkable accomplishment.

    Voting will begin for the Raleigh Racquet Club 2015-2016 Board of Director Nominees at the Annual Meeting Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015 @7 PM As a reminder, the 2015 Raleigh Racquet Club "Annual Membership Meeting" is this Wednesday, October 28, at 7pm. This is always an important meeting for our members, as the Board provides a 'progress report' on the Club. More importantly, however, this will be an opportunity for all members to hear from this year's slate of Board of Director nominees.   • Membership Approves Center Court Complex Posted last month
    Membership Approves Center Court Complex On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am excited to share the results of the membership vote on the proposal to convert center court into a three court complex.  With 332 eligible voters, the proposal passed 180 to 14.  Thank you to all the members who took the time to learn about the proposal and cast a vote.   At last month's meeting to review the proposal, it was announced that the Annual Membership meeting would be held on October 28th at 7 PM.  As usual, there will be presentations from members of our Board regarding the current state of our Club.  In addition, I will explain how we will move forward on the three court complex, and other club investments, in the final phase of the land sale projects. Please make every effort to attend, the Board looks forward to your attendance!

    RRC Winter Ladies League Hello Ladies! I hope you are all doing well. We will be starting the RRC Winter Ladies Tennis League in a few weeks. This is a doubles only league. Our format this year will be similar to last season. We will have two divisions. Below I have included the details. Players will register based on their current USTA rating. 8.5 Division   · Starting November 5th and ending February 25th · 8.5 play times are tentatively set for Thursdays at 9:30, 11:00, and 1:00. · 8 players will play for each team every match, and we will have a maximum of seven 8.5 teams · Players must have a 4.0 or 4.5 Rating. · Cost: $50 per member/$1,350 per non-member team   7.5 Division   · Starting the week of November 4th and ending February 26th (14 weeks) · 7.5 play times are tentatively set for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00-2:30 ·Eight players will play for each team every match, and we will have a maximum of nine 7.5 teams · Cost: $50 per member/$1,350 per non-member team     Holidays Please note that no matches will be played the weeks of ...
  • RRC Pro Reaches Finals of National 40's Posted last month
    RRC Pro Reaches Finals of National 40's Congratulations to RRC Academy Director, Thomas Mozur for reaching the finals of the USTA 40's National Men's Open Team Championships! Thomas' team battled all the way through four rounds to reach the finals which was recently held in Las Vagas. In the final, Mozur's team was defeated by two time grand slam champion, Ellis Ferreira and his partner, Dave Macpherson.  Please join me in congratulating Thomas on a great accomplishment!

    RRC Men's 4.5+ Winter League   Hello everyone!  I am excited to announce the details of our 4.5+ Winter Men's League.
